Just want to say that I am AGAINST the development. I truly believe it will not be good so close to the elementary school and will likely cause congestion and inconvenience which is unfair to the long term self respecting homeowners of our great SCV.

Please let us stop the idea of a multistory, congested development--this area of Newhall is in the middle of all of these nice residential homes and will wreck the peace and quiet that these homeowners are accustomed to. It will bring down their property values, and it will bring crime to our area with transient people coming and going to the hotel. It appears as if Newhall is singled out as the destination for this big development as the area is older than other parts and the developer thinks that the people in Newhall will just allow this to happen--if he had tried to build this development in any other part of Santa Clarita, he would be stopped immediately as the people have more money in those areas and thus have more power to say "no". Also, how can something be changed from agricultural to commercial without taking into consideration as to how it will affect all of the residents nearby. Wiley Canyon Rd. already is quite curvy and dangerous with the traffic that utilizes the road now--it can not handle all the congestion and traffic that will occur if this development is allowed to take place.

Attention Neighbors! We must stay cohesive and united in the LONG TERM to make a difference! The City Council states that this project is two years away. All that means is that we must keep fighting for two years! Stay strong and don't give up! This is our LIVES and HOMES we are talking about. What is more important than that? I don't believe the Council when they say they have the best interests of the community at heart. They need to PROVE that to us! They represent US and need to act and make decisions as such.
