I am in the mobile home park next to Smiser's or should I say old Smiser's. This was a very tranquil neghborhood and still is in some ways but not many ways are left.This project will just deal a death blow to our way of life in this corner of Newhall. I've seen this entire valley destroyed by the developers progress and all the reasons for living here any longer are almost gone. To pave over this last bit of land and finish taking away the stars at will be an atrocity and a great disservice to all my neighbors. Why couldn't the open space preserve have it or Santa Monica Conservency?

The city can not provide the services the citizens need NOW. How do they plan to provide future services? An example .... A couple of weeks ago there was an emergency on Lyons Blvd. Several citizens called 911 for about 15 minutes and all we got was a busy signal. It is a good thing people did not die.
