The good news is that Jeffrey Lambert has moved on to other opportunities... mainly in the City of Ventura. Sad for them. However, we still have Paul Brotzman & Ken Pulskamp (Mr. City Manager) who appear intent on converting our suburban residential neighborhoods into an urban high density community. We must remain vigilent.

One of the major reasons the citizens were given to form the CITY was that our town would not become another San Fernando Valley. Well it seems that once more we were bamboozled by the politicians and their rhetoric. We have become the San Fernando Valley with all the negative side effects. We are no longer the nice rural community that I loved when we moved here in the seventies. Too much congestion and too much crime. It is no longer a safe place to raise children. The city council has its own agenda and they act like a high school student council without regard for the citizens and the city their actions effect. It is time for the citizens of this city to stand up and be counted at the next election and vote in people that have the welfare of the city and the citizens as their main goal as opposed to the council's interest in the developers and their financial gains.

When we purchased our home in Sunset Pointe, The Old Road did not even go all the way thru to McBean parkway. It ended at Camping World and then tracked east. With the addition of the massive shopping center and the connection of both ends of the Old Road, our neighborhood has become a magnate for traffic and congestion to Wal-Mart, Toys R Us, Circuit City and everything else that development has. Now they want our side of the valley to also absorb this kind of development overkill? No thank you.

How can anything change when the citizens of Santa Claritia Keep electing the same old people to the city council. Shame on Santa Clarita for reelecting Bob Kellar. Oh by the way you all know he owns a real estate agency....Do you think there may a conflict of interest there???
